Cecil Vick Obituary

Mr. Cecil Edward Vick, age 73, of Crandall, passed away on July 12, 2021 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson and Cassie Jane White Vick: sisters and brothers, Edith Vick Roland, Juanita Vick Davis, Nell Vick, Troy Vick, Bobby Vick and Gene Vick.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Thelma Vick: son and fiance, Eddy Vick and Tish Black: daughters and sons in law, Deetra and Mike Foster, Angie and Chris Wilbanks all of Crandall: sisters, Marlene Vick Hewitt of Dalton, and Brenda Vick Collis of Jasper: 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren: nephew and spouse, Phil and Luann Philyaw: Several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Vick will be Friday, July 16, 2021, at 4 PM, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Beavers officiating. Interment will be in Flat Creek Cemetery 64 Walnut Ridge Lane, Ellijay, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 15, from 5 until 9 PM at the funeral home.
