Cecil Lee Deverell was born December 21, 1940, to the Late Millard Cecil Deverell and Katie Lee Deverell
Cecil passed away in October. 22, 2023, at the age of 82 at his home in the Dawnville Community of Whitfield County surrounded by family. Cecil was of the Christian faith.
Cecil was a Graduate of Dalton High School in 1960. Went on to be a firefighter at The Dalton Fire Dept. Until he pursued his own company of over 4 decades, Walker Fence Company.
Cecil was passionate about his cattle and in his earlier years enjoyed trail riding.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Deverell; and sister, Catherine Deverell.
He has left behind his devoted and loving wife, of 45 years, Euna Vee Deverell. Cecil's daughter, Cindy Deverell (Lewis); grandson, Joshua Bowling; granddaughter, Keisha Bowling; and great-grandson, Ezra Lee Williams, all from the Dawnville Community. stepson Kenny Ridley (Pam); step-grandchildren, Brittany Ridley Adams, Alex Ridley, Ryan Locke; step-great-grandchildren, Mason, Colt, Lillie, Maverick. Kaydence, Brandon, and Jackson; his brother, Freddie Deverell of Dalton. cousins Willard Deverell, Patricia Deverell Synder, and Grace Deverell McCraw of Cleveland TN. Ray Deverell of Cohutta GA. George Earnest, Wanda Earnest Miller, Linda Earnest Mathis, Janet Earnest Brooker, Frieda Earnest Holt, and Kent Earnest; nieces, Connie Deverell Tam, Kathy Deverell Barbree, Melody Deverell Voyles, Diane Deverell Helton, and Debbie Deverell Strickland.
A service to honor the life of Cecil Deverell will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with Rev. David Eaton officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Beaverdale. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
