Ms. Cathie Long, age 73 of Chatsworth passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Advent-Health -Gordon Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Climmie Long; parents, Earnest, and Maurine Wilbanks; brothers, Larry Wilbanks, Loyd, and Jessie McGinnis; granddaughters, Megan and Madison Long.

Survivors include her three children, Mickey and Nyckie Long of Chatsworth, Lynn and Brian Smith of Chatsworth, and Michael Long of  Chatsworth; brothers, Paul Wilbanks, and Donald Pritchett; sister Faye Welch; grandchildren, Mason Long, Lacey Hudgins, Pamela McAfee, Laura Mantooth, Samuel Easley, Averie Long, great-grandchildren Madison and Braidon Hudgins, Layla McAfee, Noah, and Eli Mantooth; A very special nephew David and Elexxa Ingle; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. 

When she loved she loved with her whole heart.

A funeral service to honor the life of Cathie Long will be at 2 pm Wednesday, July 12, 2023, with Bro. Greg Young officiating. The interment will be in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 5 pm to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made toward her final expenses.
