Billy “Ray “Young, age 70 of Chatsworth passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Ernest and Gertrude Young, Anna Lee, and Charles McIntosh; brother Billy Young.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Young; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Young, daughter and son-in-law Tonya and Mark  Dean, son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Kim Slaton; grandchildren Morgan, Alex, Madalyn, Sydney, Bailie; sisters, Jean Cloer, and Carolyn Young; brothers, Harold and Jerry Young; aunt, Carol Brandenburg; Several nieces, nephew, and cousins also survive; special friends Allen Tipper and Floyd Byers

A service to honor the life of Billy “Ray” Young will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bowen officiating. and Michael Young special speaker. The interment will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday October,7,2023 from 6 pm to 9 pm
