Barbara O’Brien, age 79, gained her angel wings on June 13, 2026, at her nephew Lawrence Flowers' home on the river that she loved.

Barbara was the daughter of the late John Will and Hazel McFalls Flowers; she is also preceded in death by her husband, Michael D. O’Brien; sister, Martha B Jean Ewert; brothers, Lawrence B Flowers, Jerry Lee Flowers; great-niece, Megen Gendron; grandparents, Elmers and Oni Manis McFalls, John and Hazel Thomas Flowers.

She is survived by her nephew, Lawrence Flowers Jr.; nieces, Vickie Lea Flowers and Jennifer Hannon; cousins, Shirley Pate Yaeger and Judy Pate Walraven; and friend, Margaret Pippins.

Barbara and her husband Michael O’Brien were active members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 1267. She and Michael shared a beautiful home on the river that brought them so much joy. Her wishes were to be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
