Mr. Arvil Franklin Bishop, age 87 of Dalton passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024,
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Polly Bishop; parents, Tom and Pearl Bishop; daughter, Angela Rena Bishop; and his siblings, Thomas Jr., Charle Bishop and Betty Hartness.
Arvil is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Suzette Goley; sisters-in-law, Lucille Blaylock, Juanita Parker, Gladys and Earl Owens; brother, Jerry Bishop; granddaughter, Kristen (Craig) Bock; great-granddaughters, Parker Rose and Bennett Kate Bock; several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive him.
A service to honor the life of Arvil Bishop will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Susan Tankersley officiating. The interment will be in Treadwell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at
