Alvin Dunlap, Sr, age 81, of Chatsworth passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Mary Kathryn Caylor; father John Hope Brigdon; and Mother Alice Louise Beavers-Green.

Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Hassie Lorraine Dunlap; children and spouses, Alvin Jr. and Teresa Dunlap, David and Rebecca Dunlap, Allisha and Chris Brackett; brother and sister in law, Arnold and Sandy Brigdon. Aunts, Uncles, Nieces Nephews, and Grandchildren also Survive.

Services for Mr. Dunlap will be held Tuesday, August 2nd at 2 pm in the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Bowen Officiating. Interment will be in the Symrna Baptist Church Cemetery The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8 pm on Monday, August 1st.
