Larry Owens

Charles Larry Owens, 76, of Chatsworth, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on August 9, 2017, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Larry Owens was born on November 17, 1940, in Chatsworth, Georgia, to the late C.L. and Lucille Taylor Owens.

Mr. Larry Owens was a 1959 graduate of Murray County High School. He went on to graduate from Southern Technical Institute where he focused on heating and air conditioning. In 1963, Larry founded Owens Heating Incorporated where he continued to work with his two sons until his passing.

Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Linderman and brother-in-law, Roy Linderman. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Fouts of Weaverville, North Carolina, and Tracy (Tommy) Duvall of Dalton, Georgia; two sons, Lee (Wendy) Owens of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Trevin (Myra) Owens of Chatsworth, Georgia; one step-daughter, Brittany (Dan) Kaczor of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Shelby Williams of Ringgold, Georgia, Matthew Williams of Ringgold, Georgia, and Tori Owens of Chatsworth, Georgia; one niece, Teresa (Othon) Bueno from Florida; two nephews, Phil (Peggy) Linderman from Mexico, and Chris (LeeAnne) Linderman from Idaho.Funeral Services will be Saturday 2:30 at the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Chatsworth Heights Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday 12:30 till the funeral hour at 2:30 pm.Arrangements made with integrity by Shawn Chapman Funeral Home, Crematory and Monumnets.  www.shawnchapmanfh.com
