Janie Townsend Obituary

Janie L. Townsend, age 68, of Dalton gained her wings on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019 at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years: Curtis Townsend, daughter: Janice Pierce, son: Paul Brindle, grandson: Dylan Williams, parents: Clint and Bertie Manis, sister: Linda Quarles, brothers: C L Manis and Leo Manis.

She is survived by children: Crystal & Kevin Johnson, of Tunnel Hill, Rebecca & Kenny Floyd of Flovilla, Ricky & Linda Pierce of Chatsworth, Zander Endinger of Tunnel Hill, grandchildren: Erica, Austin, Harley, Felicia, Brittany, Luke and Lauren, great grandchildren: Aaliyah and Jaycee, brothers and sisters: Erwin & Patsy Manis of Dalton, Mary Bates of Monticello, Kathy Manis of Chatsworth, Joe Manis of Dalton, and Tamie Jones of Flovilla. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service for Mrs. Townsend will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019, at 1 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev Jody Strickland assisted by Rev John Everett officiating. Interment will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 until 9.
