James Gowan Obituary

Mr, James Gowan, age 86, of Chatsworth passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019, at NHC in Ft. Oglethorpe.

He is preceded in death by parents: Charlie and Grace Gowan, brother: Charles Gown, Jr., John Thomas Gowan, and Harold Peters, sister: Martha Sue Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife: Betty "Jo" Gowan of Chatsworth, sons and daughters in law: James Edward and Jackie Gowan of Chatsworth, Robert Michael and Sheila Gowan of Rossville, Ronald Thomas and Aletha Gowan of Chattanooga, brother and sister in law: Gene and Linda Gowan of Lafayette. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

At his request he will be cremated and no service.
