I was so sorry to hear about your mom and my dear Aunt. I did not know until today 11/6/17 She was truly one special lady and will be missed by all who knew her. Thank you so much for kind words and thoughtless. My grand mother was the matriarch of our family and the glue that held us all together. Words cant describe what a wonderful, kind, and giving woman she was. After my grandfather passed in 1992 she swore she would never remarry that he was her soul mate. It makes me feel better knowing that they're finally together again, fishing on a river bank. She was my rock and im glad shes finally at peace. I know a lot of people dont understand the lack of memorial service or viewing, but those of us like you and yours know that she didnt want a fuss like that made over her and we honored her wishes.
