Mrs. Edna M. Townsend age 90 of Dalton gained her wings on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Curtis Townsend Sr, parents, LeRoy and Ella Pearl Dennison. Sons, Charles, Steve, Troy, Bob and Curtis Townsend Jr. Daughter in laws, Carolyn and Pamela Townsend.
She is survived by her only daughter and son in law, Selena and Danny Sosebee of Resaca, Sons and daughter in law, Melvin and Teresa Townsend and Randall Townsend all of Dalton. Daughter in law, Janie Townsend of Rocky Face. Several Grandchildren, Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jason, Jamey, Brad Townsend, Kevin Johnson, Drew Richards, Eric Gravitt and Bret Chapman.
Funeral Services will be Saturday 2 pm at the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday 5 till 9 pm.
