Stephanye Sumner Obituary

During the early hours of April 15, 2024, Nashville police informed the family of Stephanye Sumner that she had passed away at the age of forty-nine.

Stephanye was well-beloved by all who met her. She was a complicated woman with a fierce personality.

She is preceded in death and is now reunited with her soul mate and loving husband Richard Sumner Jr. and her beloved sister Annette.

She is survived by her mother Brenda Burger, her father, James Dobbins, stepmother, Judy Dobbins, and her sisters, Cindi Jones and Toni Butler. Her daughter Shannon Schorle, her sons, Michael and Johnathan Sumner, granddaughters Scarlet, Sarah, Savannah, Maddi, and Brooke as well as her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered and missed forever.

The family has chosen to have a private memorial service to celebrate her life, the time and place of which shall be disclosed at a later date.
