Mr. Randall "Randy" Lents age 52 of Chatsworth passed away Monday March 27, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was a faithful worshiper at Free Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, golf, travel and camping with family and friends. He was an avid baseball player and coach. He was a successful career agent with Georgia Farm Bureau for 19 years, where he received many accolades.
Randy was preceded in death by his father Carmon"Shorty" Lents.
Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, June Baggett Lents. sons: Ethan Lents and Austin Lents, daughter, Madison Lents and a granddaughter, Isabella Lents all of Chatsworth.
His mother Betty Byrd and husband Bill of Ringgold, brother and sister in law, Alan and Robin Lents of Chatsworth, and a sister and brother in law, Charlene and Dale Smith of Cohutta,
mother in law and father in law, Horace and Barbara Dick, father in law and mother in law, David and Janice Baggett all of Chatsworth. Many special nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be Thursday at 2 pm at the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Alan Lents, Brad Bartley, Keith Dunn, Darren Davis, Mitch Sanford, and Wayne Ogle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday after 4 pm.
