Paul Ross

Mr. Paul Ross, age 76 of Chatsworth, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at  Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

Paul was a visionary and founded The First National Bank of Chatsworth in 1974.  He was involved in various clubs and organizations throughout his life.  Among his favorites were the Center Valley Cemetery Committee, The Whitfield-Murray Historical Society where he served on various boards and committees, The Lions Club, and the Murray County Touchdown Club.  In 2003, Paul was inducted into the Murray County High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame.  He was an avid Georgia Tech fan and loved his Yellow Jackets. Paul was a humanitarian and a great supporter of progress in the community.  He touched many lives over the years and he will be deeply missed by all who had the honor and privilege of knowing him.

Mr. Ross is preceded in death by his parents, George and Charlie Ruth Ross.

He is survived by his wife Janis Ross, Children and spouses, Anthony and Carol Ross, Scottie and Marlene Ross, Jonathan and Christie Ross all of Chatsworth. Grandchildren and spouses, Nick and Brittany Ross, Madison Ross, Will and Leah Ross, Mary Ross, Wesley Ross, Isaiah Ross and Caleb Ross. Step Grandchildren, Payton and Cayden Miller and four great grandchildren.  Brother, George Ross of Chatsworth and a sister, Ruth Ann Rogers, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11 am at the Chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. George Ross Officiating.  Interment will follow in the Center Valley Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday,, Feb. 27, 2017, 5 till 9 pm.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Center Valley United Methodist Church.
