Mrs. Mary Dilbeck Dill age 96 of Chatsworth passed away Wednesday August 30, 2017 in the Pleasant Valley Assisted Living with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Dill was a member of Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 85 years and 65 years she served as a Sunday School teacher. She also was a retired elementary school teacher with the Murray County School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Bentley Dill, son, William Arnold Dill, parents, William Asbury and Rosa Grizzle Dilbeck, brothers, William S. Dilbeck and Thomas C. Dilbeck.
Survivors include Daughters and sons in law, Rosa Lee and James G. Stewart, Oveda and George E. Jones, daughter in law, Wanda (Dill) and Frank Bailey all of Chatsworth. Grandchildren and spouses, Beth and Tom Bledsoe of Chatsworth, Jimmy and Caroline Stewart of Dawsonville. Great Grandchildren, Nicole and Joshua Smoker, Lauren Bledsoe, Noah Bledsoe, Will Brock, Brittany Stewart and Ian Bledsoe. Sisters in law, Icey Dill of Chatsworth, Lillian Dilbeck of Ducktown, TN, Kathlene Henderson Of Lubbock, TN. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be Saturday 11 am at Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Pastor Tom Clark, Dr. Jerry Headrick, and Rev. George Ross officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Noah Bledsoe, Will Brock, Ian Bledsoe, Garry Davenport, Jack Davenport Jr., and Rodney Hudson. The Mary Dill Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary pallbearers.
The family ask in lieu of flowers, make donations to Sumach Cumberland Presbyterian Church building fund, 2089 Sumach Church Rd. Chatsworth, GA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday 5 till 9 pm.
