Mr. Leon Edmond Ridley, age 73 of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at his residence. Leon was born on May 13, 1943 to the late Earl and Charlcie Ridley and has resided in the New Hope Community for his entire life. He and his wife have owned the Triple K Catfish House for the past 13 years. Leon loved his family, living and working on his family farm.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Layman of 53 years, son, Kerry Ridley and wife Crystal; Daughters Kim Ridley and Kristi Ridley Hawkins and husband Jamie; grandson, Kameron Hawkins and granddaughter Heather Rainey and great grandson Keelan Elder. He is survived by his sister, Shirley Pierce and her husband Tommy, along with his uncle Tommy Ridley and his wife Pat and his aunt Grace Starks and her husband Gerald, sister in law Vesta Ridley along with several nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by sisters Earlene Finley and Rachel Ridley; brothers Paul Ridley and Calvin Ridley.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12 O'clock in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cochran and Rev. Brian Brannon officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 22 from 5 until 9 pm at the funeral home
