Ms. Edith Abercrombie Southern, age 67, passed away January 26, 2016 at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Gerald Southern, parents: Rollie and Oma Abercrombie, brothers: Gene, Wallace and Marlin Abercrombie, sisters: Mary Nell Sanford and Ozell Gentry.
She is survived by children and spouses: Tina and James Sharpton, Richard and Kami Southern, Robert and Angie Southern all of Ellijay, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, brother: Wayne Abercrombie of Chatsworth and 2 sisters: Joyce Rymer of Chatsworth and Mildred Hightower of Ellijay. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service for Mrs, Southern will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 2 PM in the chapel of Shawn Chapman Funeral Home with Rev Eddie Kerr officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 9 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Gordon County.
